“There should be a place where only the things you want to happen, happen”
― Maurice Sendak, Where the Wild Things Are
In the winter of 2003, Jacopo Dronio and Marco B Bucci imagined a place. At the beginning, it had no accurate limits, no precise characteristics, nor different laws from any other realm. Everything that couldn’t find place in Reality ended up there, and it was ok. But then, things became consistent, and began to drop out of the Dream. Suddenly, a rocking chair appeared where it wasn’t supposed to be; a few months later, the same happened with a thick green layer of musk inside a tub; and then a cloud of fog, which continued to spill out of the balconies of their house. Slowly, everything that had only been imagined before became real, and curious people where drawn to it. Someone asked for something they had never seen before; many people listened to a story; others were happy to just stay there and look.
The secret Unconscious, which often in life stays behind the Doorway, found a way to fight the only tedious thing that remains when you close your eyes and try to forget it: Reality.
